This is Engr. Mahamud. I’m a Civil Engineer, Project Management Expert & a Loving Father from Bangladesh, which means I’m managing Projects at Site & at Home.
Although Engineering is science, there is a very good portion of it where creativity can be applied. In other words, we can say, ‘If you are creative you’ll succeed as an Engineer‘. That’s just my personal feeling after working as an Engineer for more than 5,000 days; that’s 14 years. And of course, we’ve to be good with numbers, actually very good.
As an Engineer, I’ve got a great interest in technologies. I took this site as an opportunity to capture my knowledge & thoughts. This may help any working professional and also I can take references in the future to solve more critical problems. This will also work as an insurance against that frustrating time when you forgot ‘How did you solve a problem in the past?’ This situation occurs regularly and with smaller not-very-important topics. I have gone through the path of finding same solution for the same problem in different spans of my life.
In this site, I’ll write about the following aspects of Civil Engineering e.g. Project Management, Project Planning in Multiple dimensions, Project Management Templates, Project Documentation, Project Methodologies, Budget, Costing, Quantity Surveying, Structural Design (basics), Generative Design, etc.
I’ll also write about specialized software used in Civil Engineering, Construction and Project Management, which will include general planning and monitoring software like Primavera P6, MS Project, etc. Specialized planning software like TILOS, Vico, etc. Project Management software solutions, CAD, BIM, 3D Modelling Software, Structural Designing Software, GIS/Mapping Software and many more.
Other than Civil Engineering Topics & Software, I’ll write about my everyday problems & solving examples so that ‘Wheel Shouldn’t be invented every time‘. Anyone can get help from the solution or at least got some basic idea on ‘How the problem was solved earlier!‘
And also there will be topics about Linux, Web Development, Programming, AI & Machine Learning in Construction, Data Science in Construction, Mapping, Travel, and anything that I think I can add value.
